The film’s setting in lush, wild Scotland was both an essential source of inspiration and our biggest challenge in the Sets department. Up until then, we had never attempted to make a film so organic and rich in its vegetation. For Brave, I was responsible for modeling most of the vegetation you see in the film. Anything from the tall Scotspines and the lyrical Birch trees, to the gnarly Rowan trees and smaller plants and bushes, like the bracken, scotsbrooms, and other Scottish flora.

I was also very lucky to be able to model the majestic DunBroch castle exterior and the mystical Mordu Ruins. One of my favorite projects at Pixar without a doubt. Amazing art with amazing peers that soon after became good friends.
